In May of this year, intergovernmental agreements were signed with the aim of joint development of the light industry complex of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
In this regard, a meeting was held today with representatives of a special delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The meeting was attended by the deputy akim of the city of Nursadyk Ergeshbek, who spoke about the beneficial moments of mutual cooperation to investors and business representatives from the neighboring country.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Chairman of the Industrial Development Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Saparbekov.
During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Shymkent Social and Entrepreneurial Corporation Yerbolat Sariev spoke about the investment potential of our city, support and benefits provided to investors.
Yerbolat Sariyev informed the members of the Uzbek delegation that there are 3 industrial zones in Shymkent, work is underway to open 3 more such zones.

At the meeting, representatives of the National Company “Kazakh Invest”, the Industrial Development Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Entrepreneurship Development Fund “Damu” told about the mechanisms of financial support provided to investors.

It is worth noting that representatives of the Uzbek delegation will get acquainted in detail with the work of the special economic zone of Shymkent and the benefits provided to investors today.

As a result, preliminary agreements on the implementation of joint investment projects are expected to be concluded.
