Support for medium and small businesses is a sustainable strategy of our state. The industry should become the driving force of the economy and the labor market.
At the same time, the head of state gave a number of instructions and approved effective state programs. As a result of the comprehensive measures taken within the framework of the president’s instructions, 128.6 thousand small and medium-sized businesses operate in Shymkent today.

For the reporting period last year, this indicator showed an increase of 46.4%. The number of people employed in small and medium-sized businesses reached 213.7 thousand people, an increase of 18.8% compared to the same period in 2022.

In terms of the volume of manufactured products, today it is worth 517.8 billion US dollars. the share of small and medium-sized businesses in the gross regional product reached 50.3%.
To date, 3516 projects of small and medium-sized businesses have been supported in the city within the framework of state programs.
